About The King

The King of MGD!A lot of people ask me what does MGD King mean? Well, it was a nickname given to me because I used to drink large quantities of Miller Genuine Draft. Someone mentioned to me that I was the King of MGD, and so it stuck.

IE11 Temporary Internet Settings Won't Change

If you ever have an issue with IE11 flaking out, and you can’t change the Temporary Internet Files settings because the disk space to use is set to 0 (zero) and won’t change or only allows you to change it to 8MB, or you get the "please select a value between 8 and 8 for how much disk space temporary internet files may use" error (which is about as helpful as a screen door on a submarine) look at the following in regedit:

HKEY_USERS\.DEFAULT\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\User Shell Folders

Look to make sure that the key labeled Cache is set to %USERPROFILE%\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\INetCache

I've ran into this a couple of times where it was set to c:\users\[user's name]\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\INetCache and it drove me crazy trying to figure out why the settings wouldn't save. After changing the entry in the registry, everything worked fine again.
