What were you doing...

...when the Twin Towers were struck?

Billy sent me a link of a pictorial remembrance of 9/11, and thinking back to the tragic day 7 years ago got us to thinking; what were you doing when you heard the news?

Me? I was working for a company located next to the airport in Nashville and I was told to go home early that day because no one was in the right frame of mind to work, and my supervisor at the time, well, his wife was working at the Pentagon that day. I'll never forget the feeling of emptiness that came over me as I drove past the airport and I saw all of those planes on the ground. Once I got home, I just sat in front of the TV for hours in disbelief, shock, and horror as I watched the events unfold.

I'll never forget that day, and all of the victims and their families will always have a special place in my heart.

Who Is MGD King?

MGD KingA lot of people ask me what does MGD King mean? Well, it was a nickname given to me because I used to drink large quantities of Miller Genuine Draft. Someone mentioned to me that I was the King of MGD, and so it stuck.
